Expanding Opportunity and Building a Strong Workforce
Too many students, particularly those from under-resourced and marginalized communities, don’t have access to programs and experiences that prepare them for college and careers. That’s why MBAE launched the Student Pathways to Success Coalition, a cross-sector coalition that aims to universalize access to a meaningful and relevant high school education for all students that puts them on a pathway to college and career success.
Support for pathways is strong
Change Requires Bold Vision
To address our workforce needs and equity goals, the state must set a bold vision to expand access to a meaningful and relevant high school experience that provides every a jump start on their future. We believe that goal should be that by 2030, every high school student in Massachusetts will be on a personalized learner pathway and have opportunities to:
• Earn college credit
• Participate in work-based learning
• Attain industry-recognized credentials
• Receive dedicated career counseling
